Our Story

Best Children Home Coimbatore

Founded in 2001 by the compassionate visionary N. Vanitha, affectionately known as Thaiamma, Sharanalayam emerged from a profound desire to bring solace, care, and hope to the lives of the marginalized. Nestled in the serene landscapes of Pollachi, Coimbatore, our journey commenced with a humble beginning, sheltering seven orphaned children. Over two decades of unwavering service to humanity have seen us grow from those seven cherished souls to more than thousands of individuals. We extend our embrace to orphaned, destitute, mentally challenged, offering them not just shelter, but a place to thrive, learn, and become empowered members of society. Thaiamma, the Heart of Sharanalayam Thaiamma’s dedication and unwavering commitment to service form the beating heart of Sharanalayam. With over a decade of relentless work in the field of HIV/AIDS and more than 20 years of devoted service to the underprivileged, she has transformed countless lives. Her maternal love, guidance, and tireless efforts have birthed success stories—engineers, nurses, teachers, and empowered individuals who once sought refuge within our walls.
